Who's Jay?

Jay Gallie was born on April 21, 1996 (Ordibehesht 2nd) in Abadan, Iran. His full name is Jalaleddin Galleh Dari, but he goes by Jay Gallie, which is a shorter and more modern version. His father chose the name Jalaleddin because he admired the 13th-century Persian poet Rumi (Jalal al-Din Muhammad Rumi). That’s also why many of his family members call him Mohammad.

Jay’s story is full of love, creativity, and determination. Right after Jay moved to a new neighbourhood, He met Shabnam, the love of his life, when they were just six years old. Even though Iran’s government at the time had strict rules for schools—separating boys and girls and making it hard for them to stay in touch—fate brought them back together years later through old neighbors: Shabnam’s grandmother and Jay, who still lived in the same area. They started dating at age sixteen and eventually got married in 2017, when he was twenty-one.

Jay wasn’t really a top student in school—except in English class! But he always had a deep passion for storytelling. After high school, he took theatre classes and taught himself music. Just before finishing university and getting his degree, he decided to drop out and complete his mandatory military service instead. He needed a passport quickly to open the path for immigration. He did his 3-month basic training far from home in Kermanshah, and served a total of 19 months in Iran’s Border Guard—while being married.

After many challenges, in 2022, Jay and Shabnam moved to Toronto, Canada, to begin a new chapter in life. In 2024, Jay graduated from Humber College with a diploma in Advertising and Graphic Design. In 2025, he officially began his journey as a music producer and YouTube creator, where he combines design, sound, and storytelling to create his own unique artistic style.

جِی گَلی (Jay Gallie) متولد ۲۱ آپریل ۱۹۹۶ (۲ اردیبهشت) در آبادان، ایرانِ. اسم کاملش جلال‌الدین گله‌داریه، ولی با اسم جِی گَلی شناخته می‌شه که یه ورژن کوتاه‌تر و مدرن‌تره. اسم جلال‌الدین رو پدرش انتخاب کرده بود چون علاقه زیادی به شاعر قرن سیزدهم، مولانا (جلال‌الدین محمد رومی) داشت. به‌خاطر همین، خیلی از اعضای خانواده هم  صداش می‌کنن محمد.

داستان جِی پره از عشق، خلاقیت و پشتکار. وقتی به محله‌ی جدیدی نقل مکان کردن، عشق زندگیش، شبنم، رو وقتی فقط ۶ ساله و همسایه بودن می‌بینه. با اینکه دولت وقت ایران در امور مدارس دخالت میکرد، مدرسه‌ها جدا بودن و کلی سخت‌گیری داشتن که دختر و پسر قاطی نشن، ولی سرنوشت چند سال بعد دوباره از طریق همسایه‌های قدیمی، یعنی مادربزرگ شبنم و جِی که توی همون محله مونده بودن، اونا رو به هم می‌رسونه. از ۱۶ سالگی با هم وارد رابطه می‌شن و در نهایت تو سال ۲۰۱۷، وقتی ۲۱ سالشون بود، ازدواج می‌کنن.

جِی تو مدرسه شاگرد خاصی نبود، البته به‌جز کلاس زبان انگلیسی! ولی همیشه یه علاقه‌ی عمیق به قصه‌گویی داشت. بعد از دبیرستان، کلاس‌های تئاتر گذروند و به‌صورت خودآموز موسیقی یاد گرفت. درست نزدیکِ زمانی که می‌خواست مدرک دانشگاهیشو بگیره و فارغ التحصیل بشه، انصراف داد تا بره سربازی اجباری، چون می‌خواست سریع‌تر پاسپورت بگیره و راه مهاجرت رو برای هردوشون باز کنه. آموزش اولیه‌ی ۳ ماهه‌شو توی کرمانشاه گذروند، کلی هم از خونه دور بود. او در کل به مدت ۱۹ ماه در مرزبانی نیروی انتظامی ایران خدمت کرد، اونم در حالی که متأهل بود.

بعد از کلی سختی، در سال ۲۰۲۲، جِی و شبنم مهاجرت کردن به تورنتو، کانادا تا فصل جدیدی از زندگیشونو شروع کنن. جِی تو سال ۲۰۲۴ از کالج هامبر فارغ‌التحصیل شد و مدرک تبلیغات و طراحی گرافیک گرفت. توی سال ۲۰۲۵، به‌صورت رسمی وارد مسیر تولید موسیقی و ساخت ویدیو در یوتیوب شد، جایی که طراحی، صدا و قصه‌گویی رو با هم ترکیب می‌کنه تا سبک هنری منحصر‌به‌فرد خودشو بسازه.
